RIP, and condolences to his family.

In the few dealings I had with him through his business he was prompt and efficient, and all his postings here were always interesting reading. He will be missed.

Like plenty of others my dealings with Ian were through getting parts from him. Always very helpful on the phone efficient with his parts delivery and knowledge of all things P6. I phoned him with questions about bits I was doing on my car and he always had the time (and patience) to talk me through the process. Popped over to his house a few times and again all the time in the world for anything P6 to be discussed over a brew, or three.
Things like this remind us all, life is shit sometimes. Ian was a top,top guy who gave us a lot. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Condolences to all his family, who can take heart that all who knew him are grieving along with them
RIP Ian.

Very Sad News, my thoughts are with his family and friends.

I only met Ian recently and despite his illness he was bubbling with enthusiasm for Rovers and fellow rover enthusiasts

He will be missed

Jamie

My sincere condolences to Ian's family. Sad news. Ian was a very knowledgeable and extremely helpful Rover P6 enthusiast, provided the hard-to-find pieces for my restoration/upgrade, and plenty of good advice. He will be missed. RIP Ian P6 Man.
Joseph, I hope you enjoy your restoration project, and continue to appreciate the Rover P6 as much as your father did.

I'm very sad to hear this news. I will be forever grateful for the help and advice he gave me a number of years ago when I was coming over to England to buy a P6.
My sincere condolences to all of his family. Rest in peace Ian.

Very sad news. Ian was a great help to me during the years I was restoring my NADA. My visit to his house on the way to Beamish in 2011 and the fish and chip supper we had will go down as one of my greatest experiences of friendship from somebody I had never met before! A real loss to all who knew him.

Just wanted to add my condolences to Ian's family on this sad news.

We're all thinking about you.

This is very sad news, the saddest...

I have to admit that I never spoke to, nor met Ian but it is quite clear from what has been said here that this man gave a lot to this specific community and the world in general... I felt compelled to write this on the strength of that alone.

I offer my sincerest condolences to his family, his friends and everyone else that had the good fortune to meet him.

R.I.P Ian Wilson

Thats sad news...I only had minimal dealings with Ian, but he was always willing to help and displayed a genuine warmth and friendliness to me.
Condolences to all concerned at this time.

I was very sad to read this.

Ian was a great source of parts and advice to me over the years especially when I first got into P6 12 years ago. A quick call to Ian and he would pop parts in the posts without waiting for a cheque a pleasure to do buisness with.

I was glad to have met him in person when he was at the NEC a few years back now.

My heart felt condolences to his family.

Colin
