Yep. All that..... And more.

He cuts the crankcases with a hacksaw, files to fit, then welds them together as required. He went to a bike show years back with two kawasaki triple stroker engines and cut them both up and had the thing back together and running by the time the show closed.

I'm amazed no one has mentioned Project Binky yet! Beautiful work on a crazy project - to build a mini with Celica GT4 running gear! The fabrication is very well done, not to mention educational. besides that its worth it for the bracket porn!

That Tony guy has a wicked sense of humour, I have to listen really carefully not to miss any nuggets.

Binky is getting close now!
One of my YouTube favourites is This Old Tony, very entertaining machinist channel

OMG, is that still not completed, it seems like a lifetime ago that I first saw that project started ( life seriously has got in the way for the last 3 years )
Well if I get bored ( not likely) now that NZ is in full lock down I will have to continue from where I left off watching it.

I recommend This Old Tony also, for me the best youtuber out there.

I've just watched Bob Mortimer before settling into working from home. I'm going to try quoting 'Train Guy' today.

Keep safe,
Gav.

Fascinating, and to think that today the same fabrication and foundry techniques are still used, almost inspires me to start casting my own engines.

That rover imperial movie was delightful. I bet they went home to have cucumber sandwiches and lashings of ginger beer!!

Oh that we could all live in the Enid Blyton world :D but more realistically mashed spuds and peas with a nice sausage or a Kipper or 2 washed down with a nice lukewarm beer.
