Hi All,

Pilkie and I are meeting up at the Malvern Classic Car Show and Spring Spares Day on the 18th April.

It's a great day out for the "Carnut" as they fill the exhibition halls with auto-jumblers for a really good rummage - and not much of the market traders either, a proper auto-jumble!

The show is arranged by Andrew Greenwood, so it's a properly run do and you can register yourselves here at The Classic Shows Website It's £3.00 entry fee for the car, 2 Adults and 2 Children (apparently it covers postage and a rally plaque).

The Show is located at the Three Counties Showground Click here for a map

Lets have a good showing from the ClassicRoverForum.

Cheers,
Brian.

Are you still going to this Bri/Dave? I take it you'll be outside on the grass?

Now I'm P6-mobile again I think I'd quite fancy this so I'm getting the form sent off today.

Cheers,

hi there how much is it for vistors to come and have a look as i wont be bringin my p6 up there but would nice to see all yr cars there

just found out £7.50 i would of thought i would pay at the gate woundnt i cant wait to go now and see all yrs p6's now

hey guys thinking of bringin my p6 now is there any of you guys meeting up any where so i could follow in with you lot

Hi fellas, just sent my entry off so Jane and I will see you all there. Brian, do you know if the Lotus show that's running in parrallel is open to the Classic Show visitors aswell?

I imagine the queue to get in must be pretty big, anyone been before?

Hi Paul,

I think the Lotus show is on the Saturday, but not sure.

As it's essentially a large open grassy area, I'm sure we'll all be in the same place, so if the Lotus' are there all weekend I guess we'll be able to have a good look.

The autojumble was good last year, got a good deal on a new clutch kit. This year I want a welding mask, gauntlets and any other stuff that takes my eye ;-)

If it works out in time (and I don't see why it shouldn't - deal is being done as we speak), and IF the weather is going to be a hot one, then I might not be in the P6  I'm in the middle of buying a new (but old) toy - 2 seats, ragtop, 2138cc engine ................... 8) 8) 8)

Don't worry, I'm keeping Vanessa - I'll not be parted with her until I'm taken away in a wooden box!!

Does it begin with 'T' and end in a '4'?

Nice one Brian, you must be very excited to get it. I like your sense of adventure too, picking up a new car on Saturday and then thrash cross country to a show on Sunday.

I think the cars are all grouped by decade so it shouldn't be too hard to spot each other.

;-) Bit of a give-away wasn't it ;-)

Yes, hoping to collect on Tuesday if all goes well. BigMoose has offered a lift to Derby so that I can fetch her back. She's a picture and I'll share some photos when she's MINE!

Bri.

Finger crossed Bri!!! :D
And if the weather is good, I will be going in my T ends in 6.
I was very fortunate to win best 1970's car in Aug 08 with it.
I took the Rover in 09,so it is due another outing!

Normally,,IIRC they have 2 malvern meets a year, spring and autumn, and many others around the country, ending in the one last big champion of champions event where all winners compete for annual best of group and the of the best.

The Lotus show really runs for both days, the main one being Sat,but most stay on for the Sun event as well.

Gareth.
Its dead easy to find if youve never been before, but you are welcome to follow me up if you come across the bridge and we meet on the M5 northbound at J14.
And anyone else down this way for that matter, will be leaving J14 about 0800-0830,and it takes about an hour.

Hi Bri,

Everything crossed for the weather...and look forward to seeing your new toy! 8)

Got my pass in the mail today...would be good to meet up to go in together? How about you Dave/Gareth/Paul? Or see you in there? It's about 85-90 miles from me so I'll be leaving Leicester 7ish.

Cheers,

There is nothing stopping us grouping together, rather than parking up in allocated 60's,70's,80's rows,we can all park up in one spot.
They are all lined up for the public to wander up and down the ranks.
We could all meet up on arrival,,,OR!!, probably better, for 1 or 2 of us to get in earlyish and establish a decent parking area for all of us.
Am happy to do this as I am probably the closest.
If you let me know who's coming "how many cars" and I can put out the deckchairs and towels!!

Sounds good to me Dave :) If you can save me a space for OCY, I should be there for 9.30.

Look forward to seeing you!

So far its 4 for sure and 2 very possibles,, "ie Gareth and Chris York"!
I am going to try and obtain some bunting/flags/police crime scene tape  and mark off an area for 8 cars.
Where this will be is yet to be established.
If I can wangle a good spot somewhere handy I will,as club displays really should book a space,,but if all else fails,it will be in the 70's class line up.
I believe those wanting to display have to be in position by 0930,,ish!!
If you pm me with a mobile number,I will send you mine, and I can let you know where it will be!

well dont know if i will be taken the p6 now as i have not booked in so i probley will end up going to there sorry pilkie i type in this post code i hope this is the right 1 and i dont need to go over the bridge if this is right right 1 i did have a look on google maps and at the end we have got to go up a lane as what i can tell on the live maps i will prob just end up using the sat nav and hope i get there

Hi Pilkie, I'll try to get there as early as I can to join you but it's quite a trip from Nottingham so I don't know what time I'll be there yet.

Likewise Stan, a convoy would be good but we're just not that good at time keeping so I don't want to hold you up. I can't see us being away before 8am.

Very sorry that I can't be there, :( ' .....but Bigmoose and I have a mission to rebuild Gabrielles engine before she takes root
