Malvern - Classic Car Show & Spring Spares Day 18 April 2010

Hi, I am hoping to join you all at the show.I am getting the last bits back on my 2000tc. 8) If I have some time later I will put some photos on the forum of the nearly finished work that I have done.

An excellent turn out, for the inaugural meet of
"PILKIES CLASSIC CARNUTS AND THE CLASSIC ROVER FORUM MEMBERS"
I got there real early and managed to get us an excellent ringside display position,and the great weather,made for a good day out.
We had 2 elderly gents who dont frequent the forum,both with P6's that I spotted and invited to join us including the 5k miles from new immaculate 1971 red 2 owner car,I mentioned in cars spotted that I saw at another show!!
Another Triumph,,a TR4A with a 6cyl 2.5l motor in it.
The total line up was, 3 x TR's and 5 P6's.
Sadly my camera decided not to work,so I hope someone else .."BRI?" managed a few pics.
it would be great to make this an annual event,so put it on your calendar.

A great day out I thought. Lots of sun, nice cars, decent folk to chat to and an ice cream aswell. Well done to Pilkie for blagging a ringside spot for our gathering too. We didn't get many pictures of our cars but took quite a few in the adjacent Lotus Show which I found interesting too.
I'd certainly be keen to do a similar thing next year especially if there were more forum members going too. It's pretty easy to get to so even though it was 100 miles from home in Nottingham we did it in about an hour and a half using the motorways.

Right, I know I've been a bit tardy - and Garethp6 has given me a good prod to get my pics sorted so here's a selection from our trip to Malvern.

Stan, Paul and Gareth in the arena for the cars from the 70's - Stan gave a good plug for the P6 on the PA system as he was interviewed by the commentator
I took Tina in the arena for the cars of the 60's - Paul took a pic for me - cheers Paul!
