mth rebuild jobs have started

well i have now replace almost all the rear bushes on the back of mth this is what has been done replace the crossmember bushes, nos pass side lower rear link and then added new bushes, replaced the bushes on the drivers lower link, replaced all the bushes on the top links. next i am going to be replacing the de-dion tube with a nos grease type then well replace the panrod bushes and give it all a coat of paint the parts i have missed. since i have done this mth does take the bumps so much better its like a brand new car been wanting to do this for years but never had the time so kind of happy now how ever when i did the driver top link i was lowering the car down on the axle stand and the stand went thought the floor on mth a so called classic car welder did a patch job so that all been sorted out as well. here are the pics of the hole

does look a lot better now my m8 who done the welding done a very good job and did not cheat on anything to compared to the other guy i have found to more patches to do but he will be coming back to do them soon
 
Hi Garth.
I find it useful to put a small piece of timber (bout an inch thick) between the axle stand and the point where it contacts the vehicle...spreads the weight and eliminates that edged metal against the car...otherwise all the weight gets concentrated on those edges and...voila...there's ya hole.
