Magnecors arrived this morning, took one week exactly.
Just fitted them, very happy with the quality now I have them in the flesh.
Not entirely sure about the routing yet, I used to run my old leads under the rad hose for the left bank..I've routed them on top to start with as I think that's the preferred way??
The all important pics
Fired up nicely but not had a test drive yet, shall report back later.
Yesterday I opened the garage to a strong petrol odour, and sure enough under the car was a puddle  of fuel with a very constant drip.
A couple of days prior to this I was stuck in a long tail back and took a short cut down a lane, which I was assured met up with where we wanted to go...
Unadopted is the term i'd choose for the 'road'
Dead end surrounded by dogs barking and threatening to get under my wheels, I had to reverse the whole way back!
This resulted in an almighty bang under the car where I must have hit a mound of earth or something.
Terrified it was the sump etc I had a quick look but nothing seemed to be leaking.
Fuel economy the next day appeared to be terrible..hmmm?
Anyway this was the offending article
So i'm glad for the bump really.
This was the connecting hose directly after the electric fuel pump, completely shot. MOT tester didn't find it 2 weeks ago..
I had a spare length so it was a nice quick satisfying job.
It must have been leaking slowly for a long time, but just enough to evaporate and not leave a puddle
The car also idles a little smoother after replacing the hose, perhaps it was drawing air into the line at different throttle openings?
Nice day for a drive 8)
