New rear exhaust silencer on my P6

Good evening,

I’ve done a nice job today, changing the rear exhaust silencer on my P6 :)
Stainless Steel, so no worries about rust anymore.

My next job will be changing the steering box. I’m not sure yet how to handle this, all good advice and tips are welcome .

Thanks
Wilfred

The steering box isn’t too bad on the LHD cars. At least you have a single carb sc so will have a little more room. The ball joints can be a bit of a challenge, but once those are split it’s fairly simple, if heavy, to remove.

Hi, thanks.

As far as I can see from the big book all can be done from above, if I’m right. So there’s no need to put the car on a ramp ?
Removing the paravan, left part of the dashboard compartment underneath and the left wheel should give me enough space I hope .
I will just start and see where it ends, I’m not sure about the condition of the ball joints yet, maybe they need to be replaced as well, we’ll see.

My P6 is a TC by the way,

Have a nice weekend,

Wilfred
