This car is KFK724H, and turns out to have been owned by Jon Wadhams for the last 12 years, although he has made only minimal use of it - a few hundred miles in all that time. It is a smart looking car, and as far as I can tell the structure is sound ( I had front carpets and back seat cushions out and there was no sign of rot in the seat wells themselves , or at the floor /A post junctions , but it was difficult to see the D post interior structure although I could not feel anything amiss. The inner and outer sills were replaced some years ago, and the front and rear inner wings were repaired as was the boot floor, and all no looked in order although i am always wary of sealants ! Sadly, the sill trims were ( as too often ) missing but I suppose I should not attach too much importance to this since the sills have been replaced. There was a clear lip where the B post meets the new sills ( i.e. the B post bottom stood proud of the sill ) which I took to be correct - am I right in thinking that if there has been a sill bodge the sill overlies the B post bottom ?
