Went for longest run have done so far. All OK mostly - ran fine, oil pressure good when fully hot. Get home and check things. Oil leaking at the fuel pump - recently overhauled and a new gasket. Cant get a socket on the bolts, cant move with a screwdriver. Can the pump leak if the little caps on the pivot shaft are not fully home? One of them was a little proud.
Speedo reads low vs a GPS reading, and flutters when changing speed. Temperature nice and steady. Checking the table of speed vs rpm, it looks like my tacho is reading ~200rpm high - 60kph (on GPS) should be 1500, tach shows ~1700; at 70kph tacho shows ~2k, should be 1750. Could the tacho reading be affected by the fact that the coil supply shows full battery volts, as though there is no ballast resistor?
