The running resto continues
up to now, new radiator rebuilt wiper motor refitted power steering parts with rebuilt pump and a new belt
recovered dash top gear change done carbs rebuilt new plugs and leads
boot light repaired door locks sorted new breather hoses and water hoses
front brake pads, speedo cable, removed all the old alarm system,repainted rocker covers with new gaskets,
refitted front near side wing and refitted passenger door for better gaps,
sorted alternator fitted a new belt,new washer pipes,
and today four new tyres but still more to do

After the new boots we are in receipt of a set of door cards from winns
I’ve managed the offside
im missing some of the spring clips that hold the winder and door release levers
(any clues appreciated)
also managed to refit the boot lid stay correctly I think
and cleaned the connections to the fuel gauge hopefully that now works
plans are to finish the other door cards then I need to look at the rear brakes, as the handbrake doesn’t work at all
and I’m not convinced the rear brakes work at all
future plans are to have the steering pump rebuilt and to refurbish the seats
I’ll post some pictures of the door cards as soon as I’ve finished them
