Hi Jay,
I need an airfilter housing for 2200 SC engine. And many more bits, but they are less important.
- weather strips
- radio (old, perhaps valve)
- set of tyres
- right hand side front and rear doors are badly dented

- A GOOD MECHANIC near Exeter!

Cheers,
Bandito.

Rover bonnet badge (if in reasonable nick)
working (tick-tock) Clock
oil pressure light sender unit.

Sorry no screen pump.or bumpers the only badge for a bonnet i have is cracked and has crazed inside.no clock as the one in my car dont work and i am looking for a good one myself.oil sender unit can be bought new for about £5-£8 No leather trim either

I think you can make the driver's door strip by cutting down a rear door strip ( these are more common and less likely to get broken
But it may be the other way round - ie a rear door strip out of a driver's door one
I'd need to go out and measure up

i have just found out another type of color of wood effect..
_A light wood grain effect.
-A dark grain wood effect.
-A red/brown grain wood effect.
-A black wood effect.(not sure if original but have found the color on 2 p6 rovers)
anyone else found other colors in p6 rovers?

I suppose if you can still get Formica (can you?) you could have whatever colour you want
Did Rover ever use real wood as standard on these ?

hi,
there are three types of wood effect. 1963 -1970 which was all series one cars had the same. series two cars 1970-1975 had the darker effect and finally 1975- 1977 had the light wood. the first 1000 cars off the productionline had real wood in them and not 'pretend'

You can buy "sticky back plastic" as they say on Blue Peter, from B&Q etc in various effects. You could have a proper boy racer carbon fibre effect... Or maybe not !

I bought some wood effect a few months back to cover some hi-fi speakers that I built from chip-board. It looks quite good.

sticky back plastic - is that Fablon ? I thought that and Formica were long extinct
Never seen it used on House Doctor etc !

I have just got a P6 FLM estate.
No engine or gearbox.
All I can let anyone have is glass..fabric sunroof..interior trim ..headlining..indicator lights..switchgear..bumpers(chrome is ok)..boot is ok but paint is flaking..
This is all I can let anyone have as the car is on a destruction order and i have to have the car destroyed by july 12th 2006.
I will edit this post when stuff goes.(1 july)
this has now gone ..

Can you not remove the rear estate section/tailgate? It seems to be easy to do according to previous posts & would certainly be worth doing as another estate could be made with a donor saloon. The existing car would still be destroyed but will not have died in vain. Do you have jobsworth (we breed them like no other nation, remember?) council wallah's looking over your shoulder when it's crushed? Even if that's the case, I can't see how they could object to a relatively small part of the car being removed. No surprises if they did though as small-minded bureaucracy is alive & well in this country.
Worth a shot though, I would have thought.

jay - have pm'd you - will be in East Anglia for a few days this week. Interested in the interir seats and the rear side galss of the estate if stiull there. Will not have pc access after Tuesday
