nice pictures mike 8) your car may have an exhaust manifold blow?

Thanks Dave; tbh the centre joint on my exhaust is blowing, it was flagged up on the MOT, that won't help

i thought it was around that area of the system im sure it will sound lovely once you replace it. Nice car :D

Help yourself Guy :) good to meet you and the family, we shot off pretty sharpish at the end because my little lad was knackered. Hopefully see you at a meet soon, might be at Croxley if I get my steering box swapped in time :D

Thank you and do hope so mate

Brilliant meeting everyone, although my mind was wandering about a bit – on some rather serious pain killers at the moment  so sorry if I appeared not quite all there.

I stayed last night and came home this morning – the weather in petworth was like this today

Sorry but couldn't help but show off my 'find'. Build date of 5th November 1963. Passed the MOT on 28th August 2012 so cutting it fine to say the least. Picked it up on 24th June after it had been in storage for 8 years. Had to rebuild both front legs and brakes, master cyl, and a few other bits to get it to Petworth. Only just made it back as I knew the clutch was slipping and could barely get it in gear as I pulled back into my road, but what can I say it's a Rover and it made it there and back! Nuff Said! :D :D :D

I bought that issue of Practical Classics in 1999 and remember your car very well. At the time I really wanted a P6, it only took another 11 years before I got one

I know it's Tuesday now, but I just wanted to say thanks for a great day out. It was great to tag along with the P6ers morning convoy on the M25 and meet some more of you guys face to face.

I got home around 8:45pm on Sunday night and clocked a round trip distance of 356miles.

Hi Paul , it was a great day . Quite a drive for some of you too . Sorry only got to chat last minute . Must try harder next time :D

Even more than my round trip of 300 miles. Worth the journey though. Some great cars and friendly people. Particular thanks to Pilkie for explaining the workings of the P6 wiper delay. I've now restored mine to working order.
