Ladies/Gents, an advanced date:

On Sunday 2nd September next year we in the south east have the honour of hosting the Rover P6 Club National Rally. Thanks to some extreme string pulling by Neil Castle we have booked the Pleasure Gardens at Petworth House, Petworth, W. Sussex, (approx 75 minutes from The Case Is Altered).

The show location is absolutely superb, with the cafe, convieniences and the spectacular main house literally fifty yards away from the show site, and the picturesque town centre with shops/museums/restaurants only another minute or so from there on foot.

We will be involving local car clubs, local businesses and of course the other classic Rover clubs, and are aiming for a big show.

We will be putting together a list of available accomodation for folks coming from further afield, and we hope to have a dinner on the Saturday night (1st) in Petworth.

Please put this date in your diary for what should be the largest P6 gathering of 2012.

More to follow.

Many thanks

We are negotiating to be able to leave some of the cars on site at Petworth House on the Saturday/Sunday night as parking is limited in the town.

Thanks
Nick

This might be a silly question, but the application form for Petworth House asks for an A4 stamped addressed envelope. Does this mean an actual A4 size envelope 9" by 12 1/2", or does it mean an 8" by 4" that A4 sized paper can be folded in to?

Thank you for all the calls regarding this years national rally in September.
The form sent out with the magazine is unfortuantely the unfinished item and doesn't includ a return address because I downloaded it from the original link mentioned in this thread and printed it without knowing there was an updated version, however the correct form is available at

http://www.p6club.com/files/Petworth_application_final.pdf

My understanding is that it is an A4 sized SAE envelope that is required as I seem to remember talk of a rally board being sent out with passes.
That said your concerns about the cost of this event will be examined in detail at the up coming committee meeting, because why we have changed to charging by the person instead of the car is a mystery to me as well and I thought the prices were supposed to be 'by the car'. Further updates will be provided via Driving Force.

Thank you

Oops. Too late, I have alreadty sent mine with a smaller envelope! I suspect I will get a reminder back in it...

I think an A4 envelope is a "Large Letter" these days so a first class stamp will not be enough??

Hi !

We still have to send the application - we were reminded as we were watching BBC 4 tonight:

- PETWORTH HOUSE - Pride and Petworth - the big spring clean -

a 2011 programme, but it shows what an astounding site and town Petworth and the house are !!

Very exciting, this !!

I'm acting as messenger for Dave Griffen here.

After a bit of thought and a redesign, the Rally passes etc have now been reduced to a size of 105mm X 75mm (4 1/4" X 3").

So could everybody note that it is no longer necessary to send an A4 envelope - just one big enough to accomodate those sizes.

Stefan and Heike - your place is booked, everything will be ready for you to collect from the entrance marshalls in exchange for coin of the (UK) realm.

Paid for this one yesterday :D can't wait, especialy looking forward to the convoy down, nothing better than taking over the roads in a p6 snake

Plans are continuing afoot at this end for this. Confirmed now, for the first time in a long time, and probably for the only time in the near future is the armoured Police car, on loan from the Met.
