RP6C Southern get together, Sunday 15th August.

Hi All
We'll be there, 'The General' is booked and Angie has booked a day off work to cover the journey down.

Having a quick scan through this thread and it was a quick scan, I noticed a remark about needing some fresh paint on the panels before attending the show, well that makes me feel that I need to remind you all of the ethos of the Rover P6 Club, and that is, that all P6's are welcomed to any RP6C event or meeting regardless of condition. After all the club founded its roots 18 years ago with members who used P6's as everyday transport at that time. Hence the Club has grown up as a friendly group of family people with an enthusiasm for self-help fellowship and the aim of keeping P6's alive and on the road without having to break the bank. The Club's fundamental aims are laid down in its constitution and the committee of volunteers work tireless to uphold this aim. Don't forget every P6 is someone's 'Dream car' and every P6 is welcome at every RP6C adventure.

Which reminds me the latest mag should hit the mats from today onwards and for those of you who haven't already booked into the RP6C National Rally at Hawkesyard Estate, Armitage Park, Rugeley, there is a form enclosed with the mag. If you are not a RP6C member you are still invited to attend, but you'll need to obtain an entry form either by download from the club website www.p6club.com or by calling 07833 348030. Be there or miss what is already on paper, the biggest gathering of P6's for many years. To anyone who has already booked in, passes will start being sent out in the next to 10 days and the cost of the teatime/evening buffet is £5.00 per head. The bouncy castle is free to the next generation of P6 enthusiasts (under 16's). Oh yes nearly forgot, for those of you who haven't seen the last P6 of the production line, VVC 700S, it too will be at the National Rally.

Warmest regards
Mark

Usually the opening time of these events is about 10...but they give no start time.

We're meeting Dave there at about 8.45pm to mark out the stand and get the gazebo out!

Hope weather a bit better than today. See you all tomorrow.

Cheers
Nick

I'm aiming to be there for about 0930, I'm very much hoping the tea/catering vans will be open for that time  .
Look forward to seeing you all there,
Jon. :D

Please accept my apologies. I will be there in spirit if not in person. Looking forward to seeing the photos though once they are on the forum.

Hope you have a great turnout.

Cheers

Super day out today, very very busy show and lots of Rovers - apparently there were several in the car park as well. Angie ordered the weather in correctly as well, a lovely day after some horrible conditions down here.

Mrs. Chairman was very keen on Aaron Long's new 2000TC, and I'm not surprised. Lovely car.

The Rover P6 Club Ladies Knitting Circle continue unabated!

No-one wanted to leave and we were almost the last out of the gates at 6pm.

Hi all,
had a lovely day out at the show yesterday, I got a few pics of the day but my camera isn't up to much so apologies for quality.

Further apologies if any of the above pics are a funny shape or cropped strangely, photobucket seems to have some sort of disagreement with the forum at my end and they're definitely not on speaking terms. I'll see if I can edit them.

I must express a very big thank you for a superbly organised club display, you are to be commended Dave.
I would also like to echo, the sentiment of it being nice to put faces to some of the names that we didn't already know.
The pictures I have seen upto yet are all superb, and please send them to me, direct in hi-def so that I can include some in the club magazine, Driving Force.
From our point of view, we had a trouble free 330mile round trip in The General and a big thank you to D&D for the B&B and to Alex & Margaret for the very pleasant chat and meal before leaving Cranleigh for home.

Looking forward to seeing some of you at the RP6C National Rally on September 26th and the rest of you at future events.

Warmest regards
Angie & Mark Gray
Chairman & Editor

You don't have to be a club member, ALL ROVERS ARE WELCOME.

Great pics of this event.

Was that The Bruiser hiding away in the car park? :D

See you all at the National.

Dave

Indeed it was! Due to our usual tardy arrival we were stuck behind the police car, much to The Bruiser's chagrin as that always seems to be the way.

Hi all,

It was a great day I was surprised by the amount of cars especially rovers of all makes.

I hope the pictures come out ok?

Aaron.
