Strong money

Arun (the guys selling it) are a Jaguar specialist mostly xk8's etc, they also had a couple of morris minor travellers, one was £12,995!

Looks okay. Would guess that some work has been done to the interior, but no description at all.

I wouldn't pay more than 25% of his asking price..

I haven't seen this yet, the garage is practically walking distance from me.
They love pricing things high, but cars don't hang around long there.
People around here have money to burn so it's not a surprise really.
Whenever I do an ebay classic car search with distance filter, I have to wade through pages and pages of their listings before I get to anything below 10 grand!
They did have a nice cobra replica over the summer, and always have a good selection of e types etc to oggle as I drive past

Description has been added now, including:

"This particular Rover finished in classic Tobacco Leaf Brown is one example of the rarer 2 litre Twin Cam manual varieties and is in wonderful condition. "

Rarer 2 litre Twin Cam manual varieties?

So the 2000 is rare.. I suppose if it's a Twin Cam it would be bloody rare! One of one perhaps? ;)

so therefore an SC isn't a sin cam but really is something you do online when tiddly on other sites!
double cods!
i'd best stick to my v8 wankel :?
i think thats what i was told!

It's lamentable that an automobile 'specialist', can make such a howler. A quick google would have saved their blushes.

Why would they ever check anything, most of them know everything already. Or at least, they think they do.....

When I last took my 2200TC for an MOT the middle aged MOT tester came over all dewy eyed when I pulled the car onto the ramp and said looking at the boot badge "The old 2200 Twin Cam, they were a good car these.." Ah well, half right then!

LOL wouldn't pay that money for a tobacco leaf car full stop ;-) My least favourite colour.
A pleasant series 2 TC went for £6.5k recently at the Percival Motor Company, sold pretty quick too..
Series 1 TCs in very good condition, aren't that easy to come by and sell for reasonable money (£4-6K) - I know as I have chased a couple in the past.
