Many thanks! It's "Spanish Olive"

Regards Glenn.
Glenn, OK thanks. Silly me  . Taking a closer look, it doesn't look like Avacado. Was Spanish Olive an Australian option or has she had a colour change?

I have a feeling that Spanish Olive was only available on these very late, New Zealand built, cars. Mine is something like the 8th last one made according to research by the author Robert Penn-Bradly (from whom I bought the car). Notice too the wood grain trim is much lighter than normal.

The car has been repainted, but that is the original colour.

Regards, Glenn.

Also, there are three of these same coloured late NZ cars in the small area where I live - and it gets quite confusing when we are all shopping at the same time because we all deliberately park the cars next to each other to confuse the locals.

That sounds like great fun

That brings to mind an amusing incident about 2 years ago when I owned a Suzuki Wagoner Plus. The cars are invariably owned by the older generation in NZ, came across an identicle one to mine in a supermarket car so parked right next to it closest to the supermarket entrance door, elderly owner appeared walked up to mine got her key out and spent the next 3 or 4 minutes attempting to open it with out success.....pi$$ing my self with laughter at this stage, eventually the older grey cells worked out that the adjacent car was theirs and they escaped their delimma of a car they could not open.

Rich

Thanks Richard, about five years ago I bought a woolies kit for the leather and freeshed it up again almost a year ago so sure come a long way during my almost 8 years of ownership. She is in much use and gets a couple of months a year off from time to time. As with these or any classic there is always something to be done, but she is running fine and I enjoy driving her.

A recent one of Hazel - Tobacco Leaf goes well with winter colours & winter sun!
