The Triumph 6-cyl is a very, very heavy lump, it would play havoc with the P6's handling. I have one in my Triumph Vitesse and love it to bits as it's noisy, responsive and loads of fun, but really wonder how that character works in a bigger saloon (hence my question).smudger said:What about a Rover 2000 but with a Triumph 2000 engine and overdrive? - always wondered if anyone has ever done that ........ ? ! ?

I always thought that the Mk1 was a nicer looking car inside and out.Willy Eckerslyke said:I've often wondered how the big Triumph saloons stack up against the P6, but can't see why anyone would choose a Mk2 and forego the wonderful space-age dash of the Mk1.
