Well Dave, this is the third succesive year I have attended this show and it was the worst weather and turn out so far, normaly a very well attended show with a very wide ranging display of vehicles from 1929 through to 1989 covering 60 years of motoring.... And Waltham cross is a similar show but with a slightly smaller number of attendes due to it being a smaller area/venue...

That's a terriffic bunch of pictures, Guy. And it looks to have been a cracking day out. despite the weather! What is the yellowy cream car with the green roof next to the PB Cresta? It has hints of Rover Pilot or perhaps Wolseley?

Chris

Great pictures Guy, thanks for posting - you must have got wet - what a shame the
weather was not as it should be in July

Petworth. West Sussex, Community Fete was held yesterday, for which I organise the classic car display. We were booked with 50 plus cars promised, but the weather, as every where else, has been atrocious. Our fete is held on grass land, which drains reasonably well. I really admire the 35 cars who turned out - inluding four P6s. It rained most of the time and it was definitley squishy by the time cars left, but they all gout out with out the help of the help vintage tractors also on display! Interestingly, the classic cars had less hassle getting out than the "moderns" of the stall holders. Not sure if this is down to all the extra weight in modern cars, or classic car drivers knowing their cars better and responding to the driving surface more sensitively. Above all though, well done and thanks to all those who brought their cars out in such awful conditions.
