Hi all, not been on the forum for a long time but the bug is beginning to bite me again to get my V8 on the road. I’d like to get my SU carbs serviced/rebuilt could anybody recommend someone that might be able to do this for me? Thanks in advance! Brian.

I was just wondering, with the sleeved type of lug nuts that actually go through the wheel and have flat washers, surely they cant be that accurate when centreing the road wheel, especially when compared to conical lug nuts. What are your thoughts on this?

Hi all, just trying to find out some info about these wheels that i've just acquired. Apparently they were used on police cars? Looking back through past posts, apparently Harvey has a set, if you read this Harvey whats your opinion on these Police minilites, I was told they're very rare.

Hi all, I've managed to get hold of a genuine set of Minilites for my P6, I say genuine because "MINILITE ENGLAND" is cast into them. I hear that they are rare & were fitted to some police cars, is this right & would anyone have any more information on them? Regards Brian

Hello, have just got my rear calipers off and on removing one of the covers I found a little note inside telling me "CAUTION OVERSIZE PISTON" , could anyone shed any light? Could this just be some antirust paper from elsewhere perhaps? Thankyou in anticipation.

Hello all, got a slight problem with my rear brakes they're seized on slightly, I know the rears are a pain to work on so was wondering if anyone had any tips on working on them. I've heard you can drop the back axle for easier access just by undoing four bolts?

I've just put a new distributor with electronic gubbins on my v8, but the vacuum advance is right up against the thermostat housing. Obviously this is gonna cause issues with timing so is there a slimmer stat housing available that anyones aware of???????????/ (still haven't got her started yet...

Has anyone ever spun over at 24v just to get a stubborn v8 to start, ie 2 batteries in series? Likely to cause any damage? The reason im asking ive got a very stubborn v8 thtats been laid up for a while.
