Could u tell me the modifications needed to fit rich? Is it just output shaft flange and speedo or is it modding driveshafts floor plans and mounting brackets?

So the one I'm looking at is out of a jag, are the output shaft flanges interchangeable with 35 or 65 box or am I better of waiting for something else to come up?

There is a zf 4hp22 on trademe in new Zealand, what's is this ldv Harvey mentions if you don't mind me asking?

And to save some coin could I just fit the 65 internals to the 35 box as only the planetary gears are smashed in the 35 so at least could I use the 65 planetary gears?

Also I did not adjust rear band (drivers side) and the front band took 3 or 4 turns before it started to go tight. What does the rear band control and is it worth a shot adjusting it befor removing gbox?

Righto, what if the band is to tight. The closest thing I could get to a torque wrence was making my 8mm spanner one ft long and hanging a 4.5lb weight off it, I left .5 of a lb off to accommodate the weight of my spanner contraption. From what I have red the 35 is adjusted externally while the 65 is internal

Also can the bands be adjusted in place?

Awesome thanks, befor I put it up on axel stands there is quite a steep hill befor my road it was doing a lot of shuddering and perrrping so it's safe to say the more load the werse it is and to make it up the hil I went from D to 2 which didn't stop it, but in to l it got up the hill no issues.
