Calling all Scottish forum members

If any of the Scottish contingent are interested, there's a nice classic show at Dumfries this Sunday, at the Crichton. I'll be there in my car.

For years this show has been at Egglington Park just outside Irvine. Although it is primarily for vintage farm equipment there has always been a healthy number of classic cars. For the first time this year, the show is at a new venue on the A70 just outside Ayr. Apparently they have moved to the new venue as the old Eggington one was now too small. I have no idea exactly what to expect this year but might pop along (weather/time/kids/Missus permitting :) ).
 
Since the show season is now at an end, virtually, shall we try to arrange a Scottish meet in the next few weeks? :D

Sounds like a good idea to me, lets arrange it ASAP before the snow comes!

Any ideas about venue, I'm from the East along with Graeme Stewart, (Cameron Green 2000TC) who I think knows you.

Somewhere in the middle probably best, what do you think?

Quite fancy a meet up , but being a bit more north will probably exclude me from anything south of Glasgow or Edinburgh still not tested car on a long run :(
 
My repairs continue and there is no way I will be back on the road for another few weeks :cry: . In fact, I am starting to wonder if I wil be back out in JVY before next spring :cry: :cry: . However, I will keep an eye on this thread - just in case I feel a strong urge to see some roadworthy P6's to give me some encouragement.
 
New Lanark Heritage site is a good shout though it is tight on parking next to the attraction itself.

I would be up for a run before the snow comes.

New Lanark certainly sounds ok to me, it's nice and central, and shouldn't be too far for anyone, I hope! Would a Saturday suit everyone, and which dates would suit best?
 
What about Saturday 8th October at New Lanark? I remember when I last visited, there was a car meet in front of the Vistor Centre. Might be worth a call to see if we could reserve a few spaces. what do you think?
 
I'm afraid I'm working that weekend, but I'm free the next weekend. Let's start a new thread to get names, and ideas as to which days suit the largest number of people. :)
 
Good idea,how about we aim for a meet at the new musem in glasgow then see who wants to go just to get ball rolling?

Right guys,

Sunday 16th october meet at the riverside musem glasgow.

I am hill walking on sat so can only do sunday.

Who can manage? I will be in the p5 or the vitesse unless i can weld a sill and a d-post by friday evening.
