Cambs/Beds/Herts meet invitation

Nice pics Mike :) got side tracked doing stuff in the garage, boy did the time fly by  when I looked up it was 4pm so too late, up to a 2hr drive for me now, but need to make more of an effort to get across.

Looked like a very good meet with dry weather too. I was originally intending to go to this one, but due to work commitments I had to miss out :(

Hi Mike et al. Well done with the pictures. Good to meet you all. We were made very welcome. It was a beautiful run through the countryside and a journey we will repeat as soon as we get the opportunity. I hope the weather sets a pattern for future meets and 2013 driving in general. Like you lot I very much enjoy using the car on the road as much as possible. I also did something I have never done in my life before. Ordered tea in a pub!

Cheers

Greg

I did the same last month, my excuse was it was cold and I needed to warm up

:( Is the next meet this saturday? 1st saturday every month? I predict good weather for you. I can't get there this saturday though. Going to pick up new modern. It's made by Ford. At least they've been around a while. Fired up the P6 tonight to collect the children from swimming. I love using it for mundane runs especially when I can park it with some door opening space around me ie. not Tesco. I've been off work 2 weeks with a hernia. No sympathy please. Once I stopped taking the "painkillers" I was OK. Think I narrowly escaped a stomach ulcer due to their side effects.
Anyone follow the rugby? My wife is Italian, my dear late mother was French and my dear late father English (a musician born of East End Dockers heritage) so I have 3 chances. I love to see England win but France on a good day have flair that can outshine the best.
Good luck, bonne chance, buona fortuna

Hi Greg,
Shame you can't make it today but you are right, its the first Saturday of the month that we meet. I'm glad you are enjoying using the car fir those everyday trips :D

I meant to tell you that shortly after the January meet on one if the P6 pages on Facebook a previous owner posted a photo of your car asking where it was now? I sent him a message that I had just seen the car at a meet and it was in great condition and being well looked after :D

Enjoy the rugby and we may see you next month.

Tempted fait saying I'd been lucky so far not to have many issues with Buttercup, 20 miles from home I started hearing a tapping coming from the back on de-accelaration soon to get louder the closer to home I got. Will invetigate tomorrow but would guess drive shaft uj, 198 mile round trip now for me and 4 hours driving due to the nature of the roads. Nice to see familia faces and have a good chat :D

It was good to see you again Guy 8) fingers crossed that Buttercup's problem is not too serious ,it was good to see Dave (Herts2000) there too 8) Lets hope the next meet is warmer :)

Good to see you and the family too Guy, that's a bugger with the car but at least it happened close to home, fingers crossed its a cheap/quick fix.

Wow! I actually made it to a meet lol

Missed a few, so good to get there even if in inferior transport

I fear I will still be painting my daughter's bedroom on saturday  Hopefully next time. Wish you fair weather. 'nother 12 months MOT secured. :D

I've got the spare room to start the weekend after :( I think the weather is good this weekend, its a shame you can't make it but congrats on the MOT pass, it's always nerve wracking with an old car, even a well sorted one.

Did you manage to get in touch with the previous owner of your car Greg?

Headlight alignment and screenwashers. I count myself lucky, albeit having had some fairly major (inboard discs  ) work between this one and the last.

Haven't heard from him no...

Is this meet still taking place every month, and if so does that mean it is on next Saturday 4th May? It's about time I managed to get out and meet other owners :)

If it is still running, around what time does it normally start?

Hello mate
Yes it is still running, I've got a bit lazy on the photo front, sorry  but it's always the same time and place, first Saturday of the month, 14:00 at the British Queen, 94 High Street, Meldreth, Cambs SG8 6LB.

Hope to see you there :)

Thanks for letting me know Kev. I hope I can get there this time :?

First time for me at the meet today, and it was nice to put faces to names from people on here :) I took the kids and my better half along, and she just loves to take a photo or twenty, so here is what she took :p

Met far too many people to remember all your names, but chatted at length with Mike and Adam so remember you guys. Had a great time and it was a nice turnout I thought. Hope to see you all again soon :D
