Ebay's a Queer Carry On

I've just realised who he is, he bought an almond 3500S off my mate about 3 years ago & although solid it was a rough old thing & he re-advertised it for some mental amount of money & we ripped him to pieces & contacted people who were bidding on it to tell them how silly they were being

This bloke's very well known, IIRC he's taken over from his father who was just the same. Every town has a Village Idiot, and Ebay's no different.

Dont know whether to feel sorry for him,or just have a damned good laugh!! :?
YES I DO!
OWW!! It hurts my sides!!!

I sold a set of black ambla seats from my NADA P6 for £150 the other month; but that kind of money is just a joke!

I cannot believe it!! He's whacked the price up!!
This guy has totally lost all his marbles,if he had any in the first place!! :? :?
There must be a competition running in the nut house to see who can make the most pathetic, incoherent, useless advert!!
MMM??? Maybe its aliens talking in code!!!

Thanks for putting me on the autoshite site, that will pass a few hours.

Having read that guys advert I would put him into the "Not for baby sitting" category, in fact with every ebay sale they should throw in a free straight jacket and a white taxi to the nearest loony bin.

What is that advert about ?, can't make head nor tail of it, oh I get it, it's a set of seats !
The drivers one doesn't look particularly good either .................

I think those seats are the ones out of the car my mate sold him & they were fairly raggy really.

That man is what we locals call a Bison Heed! or a Radge Packet! he doesn't seem to have any grip on reality at all & what on earth is all thast waffle about bikes & salesmans faces I'm at a loss for the right words to describe him so I think I'll stick with Bison Heed!

Usually writing a good, descriptive advert on Ebay encourages bids but who could be arsed to read through all that waffle? Who's that bloke in the photo anyway?

He's managed to do that all by himself!!!
And probably wouldnt know how to if you did!!!

I put a bid in on a job lot which included two bumpers. A front one for the V8 and a rear one.

When I got there the front one was for a 2200, and the rear one was another front 2200 one with rear overriders on it :?

I did however get two sets of V8 clocks, (oh no I didn't, one of them was for a 2200), two s/s door steps, and a load of other stuff for £10.00 - so not
too unhappy. This chap has a few doors and wings, plus a bootlid with the spare wheel fitting, exhaust parts, etc all going for a few quid.

I have just sold my Minilites on ebay and got £350.00 for them

But Paypal have said they are not going to pay me for 21 days as it looks like it could be a fraudulent transaction?

You've received a payment, detailed below. We've placed a temporary hold on the funds for this transaction.

eBay and PayPal are working together to make it safer than ever to buy on eBay. One of the boldest steps is to identify transactions that pose the greatest risk of fraud and holding the payments from sellers for a period of time to help ensure that the transactions go smoothly.

We'll release the payment for the eBay item if either of the following occurs:

The buyer leaves you positive feedback on eBay.
It's been 21 days since the payment date and you haven't received a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction being held
Additional hold period

If you receive a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction, we may hold the payment until the problem is resolved.

Looks like either a, "We can't bothered to chase real criminals so we are going to punish everyone," or a, "we are a bit skint so are going to hold onto your money for three weeks and tell you that we are doing it for your own good," type tactics.

Who do they think they are, The British government?

The stupid thing there is that there is no way in the world you're going to release the goods to the buyer when there's a good chance you won't see the money.

I'd be tempted to refund the payment and ask for cash on collection, on the basis that paypal say they are a fraudulent buyer.... See what they think of that !

I personally hate Paypal, they are unregulated and offshore so do not need to comply with any uk banking laws, so can take your money and keep it, as their T's & C's say they can....

My brother had this problem when he sold a set of his BMW alloys.
He had just bought the set he wanted so sold his others for £125!
Ebay said they thought his sale unusual and possibly fraudulent!!
He stated that he had owned the car for 3 yrs, just bought a set of alloys to fit and sold the old ones! He was guilty of fraud in the eyes of Ebay until he could prove otherwise!
He also had his selling account suspended as unusual activity!
Do a cash on collection deal with the seller!!
ie!!Cancel the ppal sale with the seller, and get all your fees refunded! That way Ebay wont get their rip off fees from you!

Are Paypal suggesting that Quattro is a fraudulent seller or that the buyer is using stolen money/card to purchase items?
