Clearing the cache seems to have done the trick.

Oddly, in the last couple of days I've received emailed notifications of 2 PMs that haven't appeared in my inbox (on the forum). I cleared out my inbox after the 1st one, thinking it was a space issue, then the 2nd one arrived yet my inbox says it's empty. They are genuine PMs from a forum member, the 2nd one being a direct reply to a PM I sent to him.
 
will check your user in the database later, see if there's anything odd!

I've often wondered if someone getting confused by the mail still showing in the outbox could decide they need to delete it ( which they dont...) If you pm or email me the other forum members name too i can check whether it still shows at their end too.

Oops, I've just realised they weren't PMs at all, but emails via the forum. Which explains why they hadn't appeared in my PM inbox, Doh!

Hi Rich,

Just in case you have the time and chance to look at it, my Tapatalk app (iPad) won't let me a) search or b) view my 'participated'-in threads. It says "server error occurred, unsupported operand types (search.php:205)" in both cases.

okey doke. Might be i need to upgrade the tapatalk app on the server. It could also be the phpbb version, which i'm having trouble working out the best way to upgrade at the moment as it's a mix of versions..... I'll take a look later

Had a look and there arent any upgrades to the tapatalk mod so it must be something to do with the phpbb version we have which is ancient and difficult to upgrade. I've been working on this for a few months when i get spare moments. I'll let you know when i get somewhere - it'll probably involve some forum downtime when it comes to the event so you'll probably know about it anyhow.

Thanks Rich. Again this is not a biggie in any way, but if there are other benefits to upgrading the version then I look forward to it. Thanks again for all the effort you put in to this forum.
