The RP6C National Rally 2010 will be held on 26th September 2010 at the Armitage Park, Rugeley, which is just a few miles off the M6 Motorway, in Staffordshire. We have something slightly different arranged for this year, because as well as something for the juniors, we are planning to carry out a P6 valuation day. We will have a limited number of timed slots for this so it will literately be first booked in on the day will get the valuations done on their car, but first you need to book into the National Rally itself, so follow the link to the entry form and get it filled out and sent in.
There will of course be a few competitions to take part in and as always there will be the self judging for your favourite P6. The ‘Ladies’ and Next Generation’ also have their choice, as does our Chairman Angie, because this year’s new trophy is called ‘The Chairman’s Choice’. There will also be a Furthest Travelled and Best Everyday P6 along with Best Non P6. There are a few caravan places with power for anyone who wants to camp on site and plenty of local b&b’s. There is also a restaurant on site in the golf club itself and we will be booking a teatime / early evening buffet type meal, so there will be no need to rush off, but if you could highlight your interest in this, ( which will need to be paid for on the day), we would be grateful, as the club needs a rough guide to the number of covers to prepare for. The gates are open from 09.30am and entry is £5.00 per car payable to RP6C in advance using the booking form (available from http://www.p6club.com/node/270).

Please return your completed entry form to the club address, marked for The National Rally and remember to enclose an SAE. Passes will be sent out a few weeks before the event.
Email editor@p6club.com for further information if you need it.

All Rovers Welcome

dunno - I'm new to the club and if they need it to be cheque for some reason that's not really a problem, and it is probably good to have at least some idea where your cheque book might be ;)

Rich.

I had to write one the other day, felt really strange but nostalgic :(
Bring back one pound notes and larger coins/notes!
Ok, I'm getting carried away now

Even I don't (quite) remember these!

Back on topic...I found my cheque book too some time ago...so I'm looking forward to a good day out at Rugeley! :)

I was explaining ten bob notes to a woman aged 43 last weekend ,She'd never heard of them , Used to be what I found in my birthday cards
Also I had to explain threepenny bits !

Hi all...

If all goes well,I will be attending in,"Connor", the newly aquired P6 2000 auto!!
He could do with a real good run out after resting up for 17 yrs!
It will help ease him back into full daily service!
Look forward to seeing old freinds and new ones on the day.

Dave

Hi folks

I know the organisers are doing some valuation training at the event but has anyone considered doing a tuning masterclass? A few people have asked many questions about tuning twin carbs etc and I for one would welcome seeing a demonstration. Any sort of masterclass would obviously rely on a suitable vehicle and someone willing to offer their time. Just a thought

Dave

Well PAE is a definite candidate for some love and affection if anyone wants to perform a master class on her!

Assuming i can get her to keep her cool long enough to get there... Waterpump one night this week and if that doesn't fix it new head gaskets!

Contact Mark (editor@p6club.com) and I'm sure he'll sort it out - I believe there will be admittance on the gate, but it's good to know in advance how many coming (around 45-50 cars at present, and gaining...)

Cheers
Nick

Hi all
For those of you who don't have a cheque book or access to a postal order, [yeah the post office still do them even though they don't accept ten bob notes anymore!], you can, email me the completed entry form 'without' a payment and we will collect the entry fee from you on arrival at the venue, 'in real money of course'!
As soon as I receive the completed form via email, I will put your pass in the post to you.
Please email completed entry form to editor@p6club.com
The entry form is available at http://www.p6club.com
or at

If all else fails call me direct or send a text on 07833 348030

It's never too late to bring a Rover to the RP6C National Rally.

Mark

I've spoken to Ian Wilson (Rover Classics) today and he is bringing some choice parts with him, including the new bonnet badges. Bring your wallets :D

We are now officially well past 65 cars booked in, this is going to be a big show - don't miss it unless you have a really good excuse!

Cheers
Nick

I hope someone's booked the weather? :)

Looking forward to the long drive south at the weekend. We're staying at the Burton Travelodge on the A38 (about 10 miles from Rugeley) so should be there nice and early on Sunday.

See you there
