RP6C National Rally 2010

The turbo's are monsters, but in true Rover fashion underdeveloped. 0-60 6secs is in Subaru / Evo / Cosworth terittory, but the torque steer has to be seen to be believed :LOL: They do have a lsd, although it's actually a Torsen torque sensing diff. However they are just about the most exciting car Rover ever made.

I believe that if Rover had installed the same engine with a sorted 4wd setup into the 25 (or the MG equivalent), they would have had a winner on their hands, but I guess the funds just weren't there.
 
Every car with that engine was quick - the 600 ti is a lovely car and the 800 vitesse too.

Were the maestro and montego turbos related or are they different beasts?

They used a turbo single cam 2ltr O-series engine, which shares the same bottom end as the later M16 / T16, so roughly related yes.
 
Always had a guilty secret hankering for a maestro turbo... Something so wrong about the whole idea that i like it.... ;)
