Im just putting the feelers out there to see if anyone has a 3500 fuel sender for sale? My one has a crack in the main fuel feed pipe and Im having it repaired this week. However there maybe a possibility that it won't be successful so I'm seeing whats out there.
Many thanks
Mike
Hi everyone,
I posted a few weeks ago regarding the poor running of my car and possible fuel starvation. I check the fuel lines were clear and upgraded my electric fuel pump to a Facet silver top and removed the fuel filters I had to solely rely on the changeable one in the filter but this...
Im still experiencing issues with fuel starvation to the point of the car cutting out on hills. Firstly I want to rule out any restrictions in the main fuel line to the front of the car. Can anyone recommend the correct pipe that I should be using? I believe that there are currently plastic...
Hi All,
I'm a little perplexed by my current problem. Last week I experienced what I think is fuel starvation for the first time since I cured my vaporisation issues and relocated the fuel pump to the rear (Facet Posi-flow).
It first happened last week when I kicked down to join the motorway...
I am currently reading up about relocating my Facet pump to the rear ( something I should of done ages ago!) and can't seem to find any information on how the fuel system works as I believe there is a return to the tank? Does anyone had a basic diagram?
I'm not bothered about retaining the...
My drivers door lock doesn't work at all. If you turn the key it drops the plunger but pressing the button simply opens the door. I've dismantled the the lock and barrel and there appears to be an awful lot of play.
So therefore Im looking for a set of front door locks with keys.
It looks like another P6 is making an appearance on TV, they seem to be becoming a popular choice as the retro car to have :D
Film looks mental though and that exhaust needs sorting.
It always seems that as soon as one problem is sorted then another raises its head
The car is running really well now but the brakes needed bleeding so after bleeding them this afternoon ( I'd already moved the car out of the garage and onto the driveway to do the job and didn't hear...
I have totally stripped my carbs back to the bare bodies and have cleaned as much gunk as possible from them using paraffin but there are some stubborn bits of muck in some of the nooks and crannies.
Putting aside the potential lingering smell can I use the dishwasher to give them a final...
The local company that I was going to use to primarily fit new spindle bushes to my HIF6 carbs and maybe do a full rebuild isn't taking in any new work for at least 3 weeks and is then quoting at least a further 8 weeks to get them done!
Can anyone recommend a company that they may have used in...
I seem to keep spotting P6 s when I'm away camping for the weekend. This time I saw an M plate one in tobacco leaf in the village of Little Glemham, Suffolk. I couldn't see what model it was though.
My thoughts lead to Suffolkpetes car. Anyone know the vehicle?
That time of year has arrived again when the apprehension kicks in.....MOT time!
I don't think I have anything to fear but even my meticulously maintained modern cars have advisories; my wife's Corsa scraping a pass but nearly failing on handbrake efficiency (it did officially fail until they...
I'm in the process of giving my wiper motor and delay unit a service and was wondering what tyre of grease I should use. The workshop manual does specify the grease but I already have some LM grease that I use on wheel bearings. Would this be suitable?
Whilst spending a weekend camping in North West Norfolk last Sunday I spotted this car parked up outside a garage in the village of Docking. My wife couldn't understand how I spotted it when I should have had my eyes on the road and of all the cars to find, another bloody P6 she said
Not...
Seeing as the weather is good today and have no rush to work on the car outside I'm going to replace my leaking sump and gasket. I have a good sump to replace mine with and a new cork gasket. My question refers to the workshop manual saying that the join between the block and the timing cover...
Bit of a long shot this one. I have black ET's in my car that came from my original ebony cloth box pleat interior but I changed over to buckskin boxpleat vinyl and have the headrests fitted. I will probably have to go down the route of re-coluring them but wondered if anyone has some buckskin...
Due to the forum being down and basically me being lazy I thought I should get some photos up from this great event. I didn't attend the first two days but our club stand was packed all weekend culminating in a drive around the arena with some of the other Rovers in attendance.

I know this question about panel gaps and adjustment has been asked many times before and having had ALL the panels and doors off the car I thought I knew exactly what I could and couldn't adjust.
My main issue is the gap between the N/S front wing and door, its noticeably wider than normal and...
Just seen this on eBay, looks fairly good in the photos.

According to the listing its located in Stevenage so if anyones interested in it I'm more than happy to have a quick look before anyone travels any great distance to view it.
After all the work to get my car to maintain a steady and healthly engine temperature I think its time I address the water leak I have. The leak wasn't obvious some months ago as I couldn't see any evidence under the car BUT I did have to top up the coolant from time to time. The crunch came at...
Just spotted this on eBay. Lovely looking car and I do like the colour combination. It appears to have fuel injection as well, I wonder what it's like to drive?
