My latest addition to my wonderful p6 is a trailer. Just a thought at this point but the back end of a p6 made into a trailer to house a BBQ possibly. Any thoughts a anyone? Have we seen this done this before? Seen it on minis and Morris minors but though it would be novel for my rover. Next...

That's a pain just had all that in bits to replace the seal thus checking the breather. but top advice cheers Ron cheers

As I have tried all angles to get at this breather thing on the top of the diff with zero luck I am now wondering if I remove the 3 bolts holding the diff up will I be able to lower it enough to get at it with out removing anything else??? cheers all

It comes up through the drivers side just near the reserve fuel tap

Turns out jrw think this is a bw35 box with the gun shaped filter taken it out there does not appear to be a paper filter just like a mesh wire sort of affair :? Tell me the little magnet that's attached the bottom of one if bolt that seems to collect all the sludge do I need it!!! I lost it oops

Think that's it coming from the bottom it looks similar but looks like there is a rubber gasket. You know how it is you remove a screw the hole thing falls apart and no idea how to put it back. So as long as no surprises like that looks fairly easy Cheers

Just replacing seal on sump but do I need to change a filter or anything while I have the sump of the gearbox? Found a little magnet with loads of sludge on it what's that? Any tips cheers all

Tried Gearoil ATF G and promptly over filled the system so now got more oil over my drive just to keep the missus happy. Also found why the level was low because if its filled above the sum gasket it leaks! well no so much leaks as pours joy. Put that one on the todo list How ever the noise has...
