I'd never met Richard but I feel I've lost a friend . Many people would have given up the fight yet he stayed strong and battled on. My condolensces go to his family. I'm sure he really appreciated all the support Pete gave him

I am pretty new on this site and have never met Richard ,but he has provided a wealth of information on this site ,which has helped me a lot ,and will do in the future too ,my sincere condolences to his family and friends

I knew Richard quite well, and certainly well enough to confirm to one and all that he was certainly one of the good guys.

Thank you Richard for the help and the friendship offered.

You will be truly missed and the Rover world has lost a true petrol head and genuine person.

RIP Mate

Richard

Very sad news. Kathleen and I send our condolences to his family. I always found Richard friendly and helpful and will miss him at the White Rose Rallies.

Can only echo the above. Very sad news.

He will be missed, even by people like me who never met him.

My thoughts are with his family.

I can't think of much else to add to these tributes except to say that it's a very sad & untimely passing of a very talented & clever man. I always admired his can-do attitude to everything he turned his hand to. A real technocrat & (if I may add a word that I don't think exists) a mechanocrat of the first order.
He'll be sorely missed.

Richard will be sorely missed by us all. Please pass my condolences on to Richards family during this sad time. Stephen

It seems so cruel to lose one so dear. Time may dull the pain, but we will never forget Richard.
Please accept my condolences.
RIP Richard

Really sad news.
For those of us that we did not had the chance to meet him in person, he will always live through the posts in this forum, HIS forum.
Condolences to his family.

Rest in peace Richard!

I offer my most sincere condolences, and offer best wishes to his family and friends. When I first joined the forum, having only just acquired my P6, his enthusiasm was electric, and he was most encouraging when I was experiencing so many car problems. A true enthusiast, and, although I never met him, he came across as being a charming, and exceptionally helpful gentleman. May he rest in peace.
Fraser
