Hi, We have no control over the boat timing so we will be off and rolling about 7:00. Lets us know where and when and we'll see if we can make it work :D

I'm just pulling together a list of spares we have recently generated by the rear suspension change, I'll post this in the correct section later today.

Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim and Gavin

Absolutely delighted to know we shall see you in action!

The Saturday at Gaydon is confirmed as starting at 10:00am.

The driving test area is at the end of the car park in front of the main entrance to the museum, under the grassy knoll (no snipers booked - promise!), so that may well make a suitable vantage point to admire (laugh at) the attempts of the competitors.

The entry charge for the driving test is £10, which includes free entry to the museum in case you get bored! We shall have further reduced rate entry tickets for the museum available on the day.

Brenda Griffins' Gold 1963 Motor Show car and the Metropolitan Police armoured P6 will be on diplay outside the museum entrance.

For the Rally on the Sunday, the entry list has now passed 245 cars, climbing steadily. Of these, there are so far 86 P6's booked - another record!, with numbers of cars I know to be coming yet to be booked in.

The Rover P6 Club stand will be selling a special limited edition (to 50, with around 30 taken so far) numbered edition of 50th anniversary celebration medallions. These are supplied in a display box which you can use to display them on the mantlepiece, or they can be rear mounted through the radiator grille, or, with a special attachment, mounted to your badge bar.

The main trophy will be awarded to the best Dunlop braked (to make sure it is limited to early cars) P6. Plus of course, the full range of trophies usual at these events.

Chris

Online bookings are still available at: http://www.thersr.co.uk/events/diamond-jubilee-anniversary-rally-2013

Hi Nick, hope all's well... might be having a mid-life crisis moment here but I can't make head nor tail of the entry form, does the £9.50 fee cover entry across all three days, and am I right in thinking it's at Alcester on the Friday and Saturday and Coughton on the Sunday? Or have I gt it completely wrong as usual...?!!! Oh, and where does Gaydon come into it...?!!!

I was booked to be on a railtour to Penzance with the Western on Saturday 29th but it's put a leg out of bed apparently so I'm now free that weekend - would love to waft over in the P5B...

Nidge

The BBQ is at Alcester Rugby Club on the Friday night. Also running on Saturday night.
Road runs on Saturday, starting at Kings Court including including driving tests at Gaydon, RSR evening meal @ Kings Court, P6 Club have a meal nearby.
Static show Sunday at Coughton Court.

Give me a bell if you get stuck Nidge.

Cheers Nick, much obliged. P5B is running very nicely at the moment so should be wafting about in it that weekend  (by the way, the Cooper S resto is taking much longer than we'd hoped!)

Chris, I emailed via the link in the previous copy of Driving Force but have not had confirmation that my badge has been reserved in my name, can I assume it has or should I have had an email back?

I'd hate to miss out because of the quirks of cyberspace! :(

Hi Alan,
Sounds like it must have been a quirk I'm afraid. I've had nothing in my inbox, but happily we do still have about 18 badges left. I've emailed you about reserving one now.
I'll double-check all of the email addresses in the magazine to make sure they're write in every instance, but I'm fairly sure they are so this may just have been a quirk.

See you at the rally,
Michael

Thanks Brian/Michael, got your email Michael, no doubt i typed the wrong email address originally.............it's my age!

I have replied and hopefully its my fat fingers rather than a PC glitch otherwise others may not be aware they've not got through!

Whist I'm on the subject I haven't had the tickets yet, have they gone out? Posted off about 2 months ago.............don't tell me wrong address.

Regards

Alan

Ian Elliott is posting out the rally packs as we speak. Everyone's should be with them very shortly.

Cheers
Nick

Folks

Is there anyone who can possibly pick up my great amigo Simon Hill from Ratcliffe On Soar, near Kegworth, or thereabouts, anytime on the Saturday of Jubilee Weekend, he's bringing tent and will camp on the Saturday night.

His better half, Angie, is coming down with the kids on the Sunday, so he's sorted for a lift home again (to Carnoustie!).

Simon has the pressing need to photograph a lot of P2's for his ongoing project car.

Simon very house trained and will probably sort your car if it has problems en route.

Incidentally: Booking now closed for the show, turning up on the day is not a problem - Chris and team will see you at the gate. 92 P6's out of a booked-in field of 257 cars confirmed.

Thanks
Nick

Looking forward to seeing so many P6s in one place :D . With a few extra on the day, it would be nice to be one of a 100+. I am wondering if so many P6s will ever gather together at a single event again?

There is a general rule-of-thumb that approx 20% of people turning out for a show won't have booked in and do just turn up on the day, so we should tip the magic 100 marker.

If we do it I'd like to think we may do it again in 2018 for Rumblefest - 50 years of the P6B... :D

This one will probably have the most early 2000's you're ever likely to see, I haven't taken a headcount, but the Sharkstooths are in double figures at least.
