RSR/Rover P6 Club National Rally, 28-30th June 2013

the Sharkstooths are in double figures at least

FANTASTIC!!

That is a result Nick. I've not paid enough attention to the early cars at other shows, probably because there have been so few of them.

What I'm really interested in, is just how much of the T4 got carried forward to the early cars .... I'll be straining to look in Gaydon!

3 more sleeps to go!

At the moment I make it ten, plus several other 'D' registered cars.

Also coming folks - and not seen in captivity for many years - Denis Chick's utterly magnificent white/buffalo 2000TC. DHV338D, the car the Gaydon model was based on. Many have got near, but nothing I've ever seen can compete with the startling condition of this one, still under 8k miles I suspect.

46 years old and 8k miles ? Does it go everywhere on a trailer?
You have to ask if there's much point having a car and not getting the enjoyment of driving it

Denis declared 8000 miles at his renewal this month Nick!

I hope you're coming to the Jubilee Dave, then you can ask him. If you're not coming, why not? This is going to be the biggest RoverFest ever.

Can anyone confirm if we're allowed to bring bits for sale?

Not a huge stall type sale but the usual blanket on the ground by the car with a few parts on it?

Is this allowed

Thanks

Alan

I'll see if I can sit Lady C next to it and show it what sort of mileage a D reg 2000 is capable of :D

All being well I hope to arrive at the campsite around lunchtime friday, along with Brian-Northampton and Kev & Jen,aka hemione149, to circle the cars and pitch our large encampment! 8)
If you have any Q's about membership, need to pay your overdue subs,or join up,come see Brian.
If you have car related problems,I am sure that between kev,me and brian we can hopefully help.
To find us,as we dont know where onsite we will be set up,just look for a green gazebo,a big rover flag and a white/huntsman/webasto/rostyles P6V8 with the reg; PLK 1E
OR,if you just want to drop by for a natter, then you are all more than welcome. :)

Good offer that Mr P, I have a car related problem, I will bring the new g/box, clutch etc with me then. Have you ramps etc.

The gazebo may well get used as a temp garage for the odd underbonnet fiddle about, but the only tools I will have are the P6's tool roll!
NOTE TO SELF!!
Must get myself a decent portable toolkit and box sorted!

It just doesn't come out very often. I've not seen the car since 2003.

YES Alan.
No problem.

Unfortunately my car will still be in the garage having new heads and head gaskets fitted so I will not be able to make the Rally I do have a spare ticket to the stately home if anyone would like it. Collect from me either in central London during the working day or from my home near Heathrow Airport. If you are quick I can post tonight or am tomorrow. Have a great weekend take plenty of photos. :(

I'll be there in the morning in EMF. We've just moved house this week and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to come, but I've just driven out of my own garage for the first time and washed the car on the drive (welcome to suburbia!!) so we're ready to go. No wardrobes or a washing machine and we haven't unpacked yet, but I couldn't miss it.
