SNOW

I had to go on a job last night around 2am and it was -10 when I left.

If anyone has a phone line feeding their house overhead i.e from and pole try not to let the snow sit on it the wires as the weight can bring them down. If you can a tap with a broom handle will knock it off.

Good tip there Colin

Keep an eye on the snow build up on the satellite dishes too. If too much snow gets in front of the LNB it will block the signal. A tap with a pole should be enough to dislodge any snow.....provided you can reach the dish that is

i went to bed last night and outside was fine
woke up this morning (friday) and its 4-6 inches deep outside!
i was due to drive about 150 miles across salisbury plain and north wiltshire but i'm sat at home!
its just not worth risking the £250 excess on the works van!
off now to dig out my p6's!
at least they're all the same colour!

Little more snow overnight, but not much, still no sign of it shifting though.

Blimey, you're only about 20 miles north of here and we are stacked out with it

Hi, just came across this pic of a snow covered car. Amazing how you can
recognise some cars straight away. Colin

That's certainly not what comes to mind when I think of Greece!

..more like the pictures in your signature. Lovely TC by the way!

Thanks Phil,

regarding the weather we have a bit of everything, even proper winter with snow (lot's more than you can see in the photos), the difference is that it doesn't last for long. Even in January we have some spells with warm sunny weather, and by March it's Spring time!

Just had a light dusting of snow here overnight :)

Yesterday I took on a trip to Rhyl & Bangor for tonight, but it's been cancelled as the A55 is closed apparently. Probably for the best. I'm just about to depart for a trip to Newmarket instead which should be enough of a job in itself.

Plenty of snow in Northern Ireland.

Even though AOI lives under a carport, the wind made sure she got a good layer of snow.

Cleaned it off and went out for a slide around the local streets of Belfast. :) :) :)

I wonder how long it took him to get them on there, and how long it took it to dawn on him afterwards?
