SNOW

I couldn't count the amount of 4x4 into dry stone walls in snow I attended when they all became fashionable on the school run. One yummy mummy stood beside her bent Discovery and wailed "It's a Landrover!" I quietly told her if you cannot stand on the ice, it doesn't matter how many wheels you've got driving, drive at normal road speeds and you'll fall off the edge. The fact I was driving a Peugeot 309 diesel really annoyed her. Heavy diesel, skinny tyres, driven properly, sorted.

Back to that white stuff again. It arrived in the London area last weekend. Here are some photos from Pinner, North West London. Sorry no P6. It is tucked up in its Garage. Chucked the Mercedes out in the snow! Up the road in Chesham, Bucks it was minus 19.6C early on Monday morning!

Happy white Christmas to everyone.

Driving off with that much snow on the roof ought to be a criminal offence. Brake sharply and it falls off onto the windscreen and bonnet and you can't see a damn thing. Accelerate sharply and it falls off the back into the path of the car behind. A surprising piece of idiocy from someone who clearly has taste in cars, even if it's not the V8...

If this is Eccentric Richard's new alias , he clearly hasn't learnt any manners or respect for his elders and betters .....
