That's what I thought the fan should do, but ours is wired in to a switch beside the steering column and is manually turned on or off. I just leave it on in case I forget to turn it on and the car overheats. Cheers

Hi Ron Thanks for that. It does have the wires on the pads but they have plenty of meat on them all. The light is flickering a bit so im going to start with the cork float first and then attack the handbrake. Whats the best way to get at the float? Mark

Hi Ron The fan stays on all the time so it sounds like the new thermostat is a 74 c one as you say. As long as its not overheating im happy. Mark

Thanks for your help. I managed to clear out the pipe no problem and decided to use my wife's bike pump to check for any other blockages. Attached it to the pipe and blew a heap of rubbish out the back, nice and clean now. Cheers Mark
