Hi sunshine.... I got the whole kit (inc a distributor) from SimonBBC, as his tech support was more helpful that the Accuspark people..... You will have to know if you have a ballasted system though for the coil.... they were ballasted from standard - but may have been removed in the interim...

Quick answer mate is to chuck your spare lamp unit in and see if it comes on for you.... if not its out with the multimeter! :mrgreen:

Hi all, Ron is in need of some engine work, bottom end bearings and clutch at least..... But i have an option on a good TC engine. How interchangeable are th sc an tc lumps? Can i fit all the bits off my existing sc to a tc engine? For.instance, manifolds, gearbox, altrrnator, distributor and...

Something I've mentioned before, this can happen with electronic ign and RVI tachos (although I was told I was wrong :roll: ) The easiest fix is change to an RVC tacho which WILL work straight off. These are available on later MG's and mine was £20 off Ebay...... Works fine with electronic ign...

I have similar, absolutely excellent! Coupled with some sturdy commercial stands I can get all 4 wheels well of the ground and can do pretty much any job I want to underneath

No mate, not a 205/15 on the boot...... Just an original 185/14 spacesaver on an SC rim, as the v8 steels I have will be a bit troublesome on the rear should I need it. Doesn't look too out of place though, as the rolling radius is nigh on the same :lol:

No, no cutting, just 'encourage' the area with a scissor jack between the boot wall and d-post. There are some posts on here about this..... But bear in mind I have 205 width tyres which are a bit wide. According to Chris, 195 tyres need no modification at all. I rather like the aggressive...

Hans Mine has P5 wheels with 205 tyres - and I did have to 'adjust' the d-posts to suit. Have a picture.

Do you not have the heat valve (red & blue slider) working? That should cut the supply of hot water off to the matrix. Or you could just bypass the matrix completely if you really don't want it?

The front edge panel of mine it's now black, something we tried to smarten it up with. Now the a pillars & front of roof lining blend in nicely. I don't think I'd do the whole thing in mine, as with black upholstery it would get a little oppressive.

Does a speed figure on your satnav count as a Speedo if you're pulled over?

It may just be a cursory check whilst doing the brake roller test run? So all you need now is someone who let's you drive the car during the test 'because it's old and confusing' :lol:

In an effort to stop the little beggars moving I have got myself some nice period kangol static belts to tie mthe kids down in the back....... I'm just missing two bolts - anyone know where I can get some from? Thanks
